WARNING
SYNCHROLAP:P is rated 18+ and includes depictions of nudity and blood, as well as themes of violence, cannibalism, murder, body horror, suggestive content and adjacent topics. The main characters have a noteworthy age gap, with Yanagi being 45 and Remko being 32-34, however they both meet as legal adults, are willing, and sound of mind.  All acts are fully consensual and mutual.

STORY

It's a grey noon outside of the morgue, and to many, the lackluster weather would bring about relaxation. Locked inside, listening to the faint whistle of the wind and watching a light drizzle dance across the pavement. But to one pathologist, the outside he'd neglected for his studies came forcing its way in through his door... The outside in question being an automaton man with a metal corpse in tow, demanding his spiritual expertise.

May his patron have mercy.

GAME

SYNCHROLAP:P is a prototype sci-fantasy T4T kinetic visual novel made for the SWAK game jam in 2026 to the theme of Toxic Love. The idea of SCL had been floating around my head since end of last year, so I thought it'd be convenient to make a small proof of concept game about a couple side characters to get a feel for the project. See it as more of a snippet of something larger, as I would've loved to write more on it.

The game includes:

• 2 full body sprites with 7 expressions each as well as another full body mystery sprite
• 2 small profile sprites
• 5 to 6 outfits and sprite variations each
• 8 distinct backgrounds as well as more variations for specific scenes and times of day
• 5 simple CGs
• 5 short music tracks
• 10k-11k words, about an hour of playtime

The web version does seem to have strange audio balancing, so I've taken it down for the time being due to being unsure about how to mend that. Please download the game for the best experience.

SOUNDS: Most are from Pixabay, a few are self-recorded and self-made.

All other assets such as sprites, backgrounds, music, UI and the likes are made by me.

NOTES

A huge thank you to all my friends for beta reading and giving me feedback, as well as Infinite Mosaic for parallel working with me throughout most of the game jam. I know we both were thinking of not submitting our games multiple times, but I'm really glad we worked hard for each other and submitted our works despite our doubts. 

It's my first time entering a public, long term game jam like this so please excuse me still learning how to properly utilize ren'py and how to make the most of my time when creating assets. This was all very self-indulgent and made for fun, although I wish I would've gotten the chance to finish the music tracks and CGs, as well as improve the backgrounds.
